We will be providing shuttles to and from the wedding venue on June 7 from Acciaroli and Santa Maria di Castellebate so you don’t have to worry about driving (and parking!). Visit the stunning Greek temples and museum at Paestum, then eat lunch at La Dispensa San Salvatore (reservations recommended, they also have a cute little shop with great wines, local jams, buffalo yogurt, and more)
Visit the Buffalo farm, Tenuta Vannulo, eat some amazing buffalo gelato, and stock up on fresh mozzarella
Visit the Archeological park of Velia (home to the foundation of the Eleatic school of philosophy by Parmenides in the early 5th-century BCE); you can use the same ticket that you used for Paestum
Take a walk along the quaint and colorful lungomare of Pioppi and visit the (slightly dilapidated but interesting) Museum of the Mediterranean Diet
Boat tours & day trips
Boat trips to the magical protected marine area of Punta Licosa

The Certosa di Padula (an impressive Carthusian monastery about 1.5 hours from Acciaroli)
Casa Museo di José Ortega - Museum featuring the work of Spanish painter José Ortega (pupil and friend of Picasso) who lived in Cilento for 20 years; this museum is open by reservation, so call in advance.

La Baia del Sole - Chill sandy spot in the town of Casa del Conte / Montecorice (our go-to beach)
Spiaggia di Capitello - Small-town beach in Agnone
Spiaggia Grande di Acciaroli - The main beach in Acciaroli
Torre Caleo - Cool, tucked away beach club and aperitivo spot south of Acciaroli
Marina Piccola - Busy scenic beach right in the middle of Santa Maria di Castellebate
Spiaggia dello Scario - Another beach in Santa Maria di Castellebate
Spiaggia della Grotta di San Marco - Small beach in San Marco
Susnset Beach Ascea - Gorgeous expansive beach a bit further south in Ascea, (while here, eat some seafood at La scogliera and/or hike the Sentiero degli innamorati (Lovers’ trail)

Again, there are SO many places, so use Google Maps and explore, but here are a few spots we like:
Nereo sunset bar - Best bar for an aperitivo while viewing the sunset in Santa Maria di Castellebate
La Tana della Sirena - Exceptionally exquisite small hidden restaurant in Montecorice with a small daily seafood menu. A must!
Zagreus Bar - Organic coffee during the day, live music at night; local’s spot in San Marco di Castellebate
Buonora - Great Mediterranean food, pizza and steaks with amazing views for lunch or dinner in Castellebate
Osteria 1861 - Great fine dining in Santa Maria di Castellebate; or go to Bistro 1861 for a lovely and less formal experience
Paisa - Cute and yummy homey seafood and pasta restaurant in Agnone
Luca e la Lucciola - Solid seafood and pizzeria on Acciaroli’s main street
Pizza in Piazza - Casual pizza place in Acciaroli’s main square
Le Due Vele - Seafood, locals’ spot with a little beach out front where you can rent sun chairs in Agnone; the owner, Benito, is a friend; Say Max and Catherine from Serramezzana sent you. This is where we’re hosting a Brunch on June 8
Biga pizzeria - Local’s pizza place in Agnone, also owned by Benito, run by one of his sons
La Rana - Serious steaks, also owned by Benito and run by one of this other sons
Ci.Bo Cilento food Boutique - Little shop/bistro featuring local products and wine and sea views; great for a light lunch/dinner or aperitivo in Acciaroli
